Election of a Town Councillor
for UCKFIELD NORTH WARD
New Mayor of Uckfield Elected

Cllr. Ian Smith was elected Town Mayor by his fellow Councillors at the Annual Statutory Council meeting on the 20th May.

Cllr. Smith thanked Members for the honour and privilege of representing the town and thanked the outgoing Mayor, Cllr. Carvey for all his work during his term as Town Mayor.  He added that Cllr. Carvey had set the bar high for any incoming Mayor but that he would try hard to match his example.  Cllr. Smith also thanked the volunteers in the town for all their hard work and support.
