Calendar - Cameras - Competition

 

Uckfield Town Council is launching a photographic competition to find twelve pictures depicting  Life In Uckfield  for a 2009 Calendar that will be distributed to every home in the town in December 2008.

 

The 2009 calendar will be A4 sized and will include information about Council meetings, services and facilities and will be funded entirely by advertising.

 

The photographic competition will be launched on 1st December 2007 and is open to amateur photographers of all ages who are residents within the Uckfield Parish boundary.   Submissions from professional photographers will not be considered.  

 

The competition will close on 1st August 2008 and judging will take place on 8th September 2008.  Winners will be contacted in writing before 22nd September 2008.

 

All photographs must be accompanied with an official entry form, which are available, along with the competition rules, from the foyer of the Civic Centre, Uckfield or downloaded from the link above.  

 

All entries must be in digital format – we are sorry prints cannot be accepted.  No one may enter more than two pictures and no portraits of individual people will be accepted.  All photographs must be taken in or around the Uckfield parish boundary.

 

The Town Mayor, local photographer Ron Hill and the Chairman of the Uckfield Photographic Society will select the winning entries and the twelve winners will receive certificates and book tokens from the Town Council.  Most importantly, their winning pictures will be used in the 2009 calendar.
