CIVIC CENTRE The Civic Centre was built in 1990 as a community resource and as an administration base for the Town Council. The Civic Centre is accessible to all members of the community with accessible toilets for disabled people, baby changing facilities and a lift to the first floor. There are four main services at the Civic Centre: Venue Hire Close to both the bus and railway stations, and to free car parking in Luxford Field car park just off the High Street, the Civic Centre is a popular venue for meetings, conferences, concerts, wedding receptions and dances. There is also a range of audio visual equipment available to hire for events and functions. Luxfords Restaurant is on the ground floor of the Civic Centre. What’s On In 2005, the Council launched its first season of entertainment events at the Civic Centre. Council Offices The Council Offices are situated on the first floor of the Civic Centre and are open to the public Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.00pm and Friday 9.00am to 4.00pm. Staff are available to help customers with enquiries about any of the Council’s services, including allotments, room hire, and tickets for any of the Weald Hall events. In early 2008, a new dedicated Uckfield Civic Centre website was launched. The new website has details of all the forthcoming shows and concerts, sample menus and details of the in-house catering service provided by Luxfords Restaurant and details of venue hire at the Civic Centre and other Council owned buildings within the Town.
