Uckfield Community Questionnaire

 

In November 2006, the Town Council circulated a questionnaire to over 5697 homes in the Town.

 

The Questionnaire included sections on :

 

• The Environment
• Housing
• Town Development
• Economic Activity
• Traffic and Transport; and
• Social and Cultural Development.

 

There was an overwhelming response with 2339 questionnaires being returned.

However, young people were under-represented and older people (over 65 years) were over-represented.

 

The answers were collated and analysed and were presented publicly at the Town Forum held on 10 July.

 

If you were not able to attend the Town Forum, the presentation is available to download as a PowerPoint Show or as a set of handouts (PDF) [see box right]

 

The digest of Results is also available as a PDF. [see box right]

 

All the information will be collated to form a high level master statement to present to the Planning Authorities.  It won’t cover everything!  It won’t guarantee anything!

 

It will be a statement of what the people of Uckfield want for Uckfield.
