GRANTS
The Town Council has been providing grants to a number of local community groups and voluntary organisations for over 10 years.
Advertisments are placed in local papers inviting applications each August and completed applications are considered by the Council in October. All grants agreed and allocated are for the following financial year and will not be paid to the successful groups until April the following year. In 2005-06 19 grants were awarded, totalling almost £30,000.
When the grant forms are available in July/August each year, you will be able to download them from this site.A list of grants awarded appears in the Best Value Performance Plan which can be downloaded from this site. Representatives of all the organisations applying for a grant from the Town Council were invited to a meeting of the General Purposes Committee on Monday 16 October. Only two organisations were not represented. The Committee heard a brief statement from each organisation attending and then considered each application in turn. Grants were allocated as shown.
The grants are for the 2008-2009 financial year and organisations will receive their cheques after May 1st 2008. To view a list of the grants awarded for 2008-2009, click here

Closing date for all applications is Friday 22nd August 2008. After which date the Council would be unable to consider any applications. The organisation must be based within the Uckfield Town area.
