GRANTS
The Town Council has been providing grants to a number of local community groups and voluntary organisations for over 10 years.
Advertisments are placed in local papers inviting applications each August and completed applications are considered by the Council in October. All grants agreed and allocated are for the following financial year and will not be paid to the successful groups until April the following year. In 2010-2011 The total amount given for this year is £39,485 to 21 groups and societies. A list of grants awarded also appears in the Uckfield Voice spring issue as part of the Annual Town Report Summary.
Application forms for grants for 2010-2011 are now available and should be completed and returned by Friday 28th August 2009. Representatives of all the organisations applying for a grant from the Town Council are invited to a meeting of the General Purposes Committee on Monday 21st September at 6.30pm.
