STREET LIGHTS
The majority of street lights in the Town are the responsibility of East Sussex County Council. However, Uckfield Town Council does own 273 lights in various locations throughout the Town.
Following a Best Value review of Street Lighting in 2001, the Town Council’s lighting policy is to gradually improve the standards of these lights and then to hand them over to the County Council for future maintenance.
