Describing himself as "passionate about Uckfield", Duncan Bennett is delighted to have been chosen as the Town’s Deputy Mayor.
Having served on the Town Council since 2000, he says that his experience of growing up in Uckfield has given him a particular insight into the needs and concerns of his fellow townsfolk. Duncan says "In my lifetime there have been some massive changes take place in our Town and it is likely that we are about to witness even more."
"Some of the historic changes to Uckfield have not always been well managed. Today’s challenge is to ensure that future change happens more sympathetically to the wishes of the residents of our Town and to achieve this I shall continue to offer every assistance to the Mayor and all of the people of Uckfield."
Duncan is 43 years old, married to Nicola and has two young daughters.
