For example:

• if you have a low income you may be able to get a reduction on your Council Tax charge
• if you are unable to work full time due to a health condition you may be entitled to a state benefit
• if you are in receipt of certain state benefits, you may be able to get help with some NHS costs such as eye tests or prescription’s

The Benefits Service at Wealden District Council are holding a Drop In Day at Uckfield Civic Centre on Thursday 27 October, between 9.30am and 4pm.

No appointment needed, members of the Benefits Service will be on hand to give advice and answer questions about what may be available to you and to ensure you are claiming the financial support you are entitled to.
