Annual Town Meeting 2026

On Wednesday 15 April, Uckfield Town Council hosts its Annual Town Meeting in the Weald Hall at The Civic Centre Uckfield.

The Annual Town Meeting invites residents to meet their Councillors, hear the latest progress reports, and ask questions about any topic that is important to them.

Typically discussed subjects include planning enquiries, the progress of roadworks, messaging from Wealden District Council and East Sussex County Council, and the work of our grounds team around the town.

Other topics that could arise this year include the progress of Local Government Reorganisation and the Wealden Draft Local Plan.

This is a chance to have your burning questions answered by the Town Mayor or the Chairs of the Council Committees.

The event is a key part of our community engagement, and we look forward to welcoming many town residents to the meeting.

The meeting begins at 7.00pm, with residents invited to arrive from 6.30pm for tea, coffee, and refreshments prior to the meeting itself.

Planning to ask a question?

If you have any questions in advance of the meeting, we ask that you please make the Town Clerk aware.
