One You East Sussex is offering free NHS Health Checks to residents living in Wealden after the popularity of a similar programme delivered earlier this year.
One You provides a free holistic lifestyle service for residents of East Sussex, helping people make simple changes that can lead to a longer, healthier and happier life. The service helps residents to lose weight, be smoke free, move more, eat well, drink less and deliver NHS health checks.
COLIN, the service’s mobile health check van and practitioner team, will be offering health checks to residents who qualify. The dates, locations and eligibility criteria are below.
Appointments must be booked in advance by emailing martyn.reynolds@oneyoueastsussex.org.uk or sam.bentley@oneyoueastsussex.org.uk. There will be no access to a Health Check on the day, so a pre-booked appointment is essential.

Residents wanting to book a health check must meet the following criteria.
Councillor Paul Coleshill, Alliance for Wealden (Liberal Democrat), and lead councillor for Climate Change, Wellbeing and Economy, said, “We are all guilty of letting our health take a back seat sometimes. Attending one of the health checks is a way that residents can speak to a professional about any health-related issues or get the overdue MOT they might need.
“I would encourage anyone living in Wealden who meets the criteria to book an appointment as this is a popular service and appointments run out fast.”
