Uckfield Temporary Banking Hub Opens
Uckfield’s temporary Banking Hub officially opened for business on Wednesday, 11th March 2026.
Following the closures of Lloyds (in 2024), Halifax (in 2024), HSBC (in 2022), Barclays (in 2018), and Santander (in March 2026) branches, these five banks have worked together with Cash Access UK and the Post Office to offer services at a new Banking Hub.
What is a Banking Hub?
Banking Hubs are shared spaces in the heart of communities where you can do your banking. They’re funded by Cash Access UK and operated by the Post Office. And they’re run in partnership with some of the UK’s major high street banks to bring shared cash and banking services to your community.
Inside each hub, you’ll find a counter staffed by a Post Office team. They can help with banking services for both personal and business accounts. They’re often managed by one of the Post Office’s local postmasters.
Hubs also include a private space where you can talk to community bankers from different banks. This is generally on specific days of the week, though the banks and the days they’re open can differ by hub.
You do not need a booking to attend, although there may be queues to be seen.
