Uckfield’s play areas and open spaces

Following the Prime Minister announcement last night stating that “parks will remain open but only for individuals and households to exercise once a day. Communal spaces within parks such as playgrounds and football pitches will be closed”, Uckfield Town Council wishes to reiterate this important message and will be placing signage up on all play areas, today, to advise that these are now closed.

However, we should be conscious that if the public are ignoring the announcements of the Prime Minister, they may also choose to ignore announcements and notices put up by the Town Council. We will therefore advise Sussex Police of key hotspot areas for gathering in the town, so they can include these areas in their patrols.

May we also remind residents, that if you witness any incidents of crime or anti-social behaviour please do report these matters to Sussex Police.

In an emergency, or if you witness a crime in action, please telephone 999.

If you wish to report a non-emergency incident relating to crime and anti-social behaviour, please telephone 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk
