Volunteers needed for Weald on the Field 2026
Uckfield Town Council is seeking volunteers to assist with stewarding the town’s largest free festival this summer.
Weald on the Field has grown in size and stature each year, and with the 10th anniversary edition coming up on Saturday 8 August 2026, this year is no different.
That is why the Town Council is looking to add new volunteers to its pool of tireless individuals who ensure Uckfield has a festival to remember every summer.
What qualifications are needed?
Those wishing to volunteer at Weald on the Field are not required to have any specific qualifications, but we do have the following requirements:
- Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age
- A full name, email address and contact number must be provided
What are the expectations of the role?
Volunteers will be expected to assist with general stewarding tasks at Weald on the Field 2026.
This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Stewarding the Luxford Field Car Park
- Checks of Luxford Field
- Liaising with organisers and stallholders
- Navigating music performers
- Replenishing refreshments for performers
- Emptying bins
- Cleaning tables and chairs
