Weald on the Field Prepares for 10th Anniversary
Uckfield’s biggest free family festival celebrates its 10th anniversary edition this summer as Weald on the Field returns on Saturday 8th August 2026.
Organised by Uckfield Town Council, the much-loved community festival will once again transform Luxford Field into a vibrant celebration of music, food and drink, and family entertainment.
This year’s milestone event promises to be the biggest and most memorable edition yet, with over 1,000 visitors expected to enjoy a music line-up that features some of the best acts from the past decade.
Since its launch in 2016, Weald on the Field has grown into one of the largest free family festivals in the region.
Supporting local performers, businesses, charities, community groups and food producers, the festival has become a highlight of the Uckfield calendar and an important celebration of what makes the East Sussex town unique.
Uckfield Town Council looks forward to welcoming visitors to this year’s festival, which takes place between 11am and 7pm on Saturday 8th August.
Live Music Schedule
This year’s music programme features an outstanding line-up, headlined by popular local favourites The Kavemen. Having headlined to acclaim in 2023, the Hastings-based four-piece are also celebrating their own 10th anniversary this year and are sure to rock the stage as a result.
Performances on the iconic Airstream also come from 2019 headliners The Midnight Project, 2021 headliners Venn 5 (previously known as Into The Blue), The Kytes and The Tannens.
Interval performances come from 2025 favourite Dominic Uppiah and the energetic Pentacle Drummers, who appeared in both 2022 and 2023.

Full range of entertainment
Adding to the celebrations, Weald on the Field will also play host to The Big One Hundred, a county-wide programme marking 100 years of Winnie-the-Pooh.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet Poppet, the magical new giant puppet inspired by Ashdown Forest, and take part in a range of creative activities led by Trigger and Wealden District Council.
Food and Drink
Visitors can also look forward to a fantastic selection of food and drink, with options including street food, sweet treats, soft drinks, tea, coffee, local beers, ciders and spirits, and a brilliant array of fresh local produce from market stalls.
Food choices will, as ever, come from across the globe, including a mix of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
Getting to the festival
Uckfield Town Council are delighted to confirm that this year’s Weald on the Field once again offers free public parking.
Attendees are advised to use the Uckfield Station car park, where all parking fees have been waived for the day courtesy of APCOA and Network Rail.
There are 171 spaces at Uckfield Station car park, including electric car charging bays, while the walk to the festival site from Uckfield Station is just 0.3 miles if arriving by train.
Uckfield High Street is served by Brighton & Hove Buses’ Regency 29 and 29B services from Brighton, Tunbridge Wells, Eastbourne and Hailsham, while the 31 and 261 Compass Bus services, and the 54 Stagecoach bus can drop passengers just a short walk from Luxford Field.
