Uckfield invites visitors to Weald on the Field’s 10th anniversary
With just days to go until Weald on the Field returns, Uckfield Town Council invites residents and visitors to join the celebrations this Saturday, 8th August, for the festival’s landmark 10th anniversary edition.
Taking place on Luxford Field (TN22 1AL) from 11am to 7pm, the free family festival promises a packed day of live music, artisan stalls, children’s activities and outstanding local food and drink.
Whether you’re a regular visitor or a first-time attendee, this year’s milestone event is set to be the biggest and most memorable Weald on the Field yet.
Holly Goring, Town Clerk at Uckfield Town Council, said: “We are very excited to bring you our 10th anniversary edition of Weald on the Field.
“We have seen the event grow from strength to strength, celebrating a wide range of talented local musicians and Sussex-based businesses promoting and selling their wares.
“For our 10th anniversary, we have brought back some of our audiences’ favourite performers from past years, with the likes of The Pentacle Drummers, Dominic Uppiah, Venn 5, The Midnight Project and The Kavemen. There are also some new additions with The Tannens and The Kytes.
“With music performances from 11.30am, there’s plenty to see and enjoy up to the close at 7pm, so come along and enjoy a great summer day out.”
Live Music Schedule
The Tannens
The Tannens are an electronic rock duo from Heathfield.
Brothers Daniel and James Martin have crafted a sound that owes as much to the movie theatres of the 1960s as it does to the arenas of today. They’re passionate about musicianship, strong tunes, pop culture and dry British humour.
The Tannens are regulars on BBC Introducing Sussex and Surrey, and have played two Live Lounges for DJ Melita Dennett. To date, they have released five singles and a debut album, Portraits Of Astronauts.
The Kytes
The Kytes are a five-piece band who are popular for their high-energy cover music.
Based in Hastings, the band are known for playing classic hits spanning multiple decades, including The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Jam, Queen, The Kinks, Oasis, and many more.
The band has been together for over 20 years and regularly performs at local clubs, weddings, parties and festivals. Their authentic sound guarantees a vibrant set of crowd pleasers.
Venn 5
This exceptional five-piece brings together musicians whose credentials include The Voice UK, Grammy-nominated records, multi-platinum bands and major festival stages around the world.
Tight, dynamic and effortlessly talented, Venn 5 deliver a setlist designed to fill dancefloors – from well-known classics everyone loves to the very latest hits.
The Midnight Project
The Midnight Project are a high-energy five-piece rock and pop punk band from Uckfield and Crowborough. They’ve been lighting up stages since 2012 with their electrifying performances.
Formed by founding members Tom Ballan (lead vocals, guitar) and Nathan Parmar (bass, vocals), the band quickly evolved into a tight-knit lineup with Leon Mellett (lead guitar, vocals), Callum McRae (guitar), and Kieran Brown (drums). Tom and Leon’s musical chemistry dates back to their teenage years, bringing a deep sense of connection and energy to the stage.
Whether it’s a packed wedding dance floor or a festival crowd, their mission is simple: keep the party going.
The Kavemen
The Kavemen are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year and are looking forward to playing audiences’ favourite bangers with their trademark high-energy delivery.
Richard, Conor, Johnny and Keith are favourites across the East Sussex music scene, including being regulars in their home town of Hastings, and are delighted to be returning to Weald on the Field after previously headlining the festival in 2023.

Pentacle Drummers
Known for their high-energy, tribal drumming that engages audiences at a visceral level, the Pentacle Drummers are immediately familiar to attendees of the Sussex bonfire scene. They will perform at 11.30am and 1pm.
Dominic Uppiah
Having performed to acclaim at Weald on the Field 2025, Dominic Uppiah is a professional singer specialising in Soul, Reggae and Motown. He performs at 2.30pm, 4pm and 5.30pm.
Important Information
This year’s Weald on the Field once again offers free public parking to attendees.
While Uckfield residents are encouraged to walk to the festival where possible, those travelling from further afield are advised to use the Uckfield Station car park (TN22 5DL), where parking is free all day courtesy of APCOA and Network Rail.
If travelling by train, Uckfield Station is just 0.3 miles from Luxford Field.
Uckfield High Street is also served by Brighton & Hove Buses’ Regency 29 and 29B services from Brighton, Tunbridge Wells, Eastbourne and Hailsham, while the 31 and 261 Compass Bus services, and the 54 Stagecoach bus drop passengers just a short walk from Luxford Field.
Attendees are asked to bring suncream and refillable water bottles, due to the forecast for steady heat of up to 26 degrees.
Picnic blankets and foldable chairs are welcome, but attendees are asked to be aware of those around them and to keep walkways clear at all times.
